Maritime Legal Aid & Advocacy Receives 501(c)(3) Designation as Tax-Exempt Public Charity From the Internal Revenue Service

     Maritime Legal Aid & Advocacy (MLAA) is pleased to announce the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has designated MLAA as a Tax-Exempt Public Charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

     Donations to MLAA are now tax-deductible under Internal Revenue Service Section 170, and MLAA is also qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under Internal Revenue Code Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
